Women:
The female patient will remove the lid, squeeze the cup, and tuck the cup between her folds. When the cup is squeezed, the rim forms an oval shape that can be adjusted to the exact shape the female can comfortably tuck the cup between her folds.
Tucking the cup isolates the direction of the stream, so the urine goes straight into the cup without going on her hand or surrounding skin. This technique requires no additional parts (like a urine hat), no aiming and creates no mess.
After the female patient gives a sample, she releases the cup, the cup rim returns to circular shape, and the patient recaps the lid.
Men:
Absolutely nothing changes for men when giving a urine sample with Tuck Cup. Men will remove the lid, give a sample and recap the lid.
Using Tuck Cup with Midstream Samples:
Have the patient void the first portion of their stream before opening the instructions on the cup.
